Description
Glutathione is a molecule produced by the body that is involved in numerous important metabolic processes. It can play a central role in supporting cell protection and neutralising free radicals, and may thus help normalise processes affected by oxidative stress.
The glutathione infusion* delivers this valuable molecule directly via the bloodstream. Given intravenously, almost 100% bioavailability is achieved, so the body can use glutathione particularly efficiently and possibly balance oxidative stress.
Possible ingredients
Sodium chloride (NaCl)
Salt, i.e. sodium chloride (NaCl), is vital for the human body. Table salt is the main source of sodium and chloride, which are essential for fluid balance, the nervous system and blood pressure regulation. Sodium chloride protects cells from drying out and is responsible for passing on signals in nerve cells. No cell in our body could exist without salt.
Glutathione
Glutathione is a sulphur-containing tripeptide made of glutamic acid, glycine and cysteine. It is produced in the liver, is an important water-soluble cellular antioxidant and an important enzyme cofactor, and is present in every cell of the body. Glutathione is involved in many metabolic processes: it protects the structure of proteins, promotes the transport of amino acids through cell membranes and plays an outstanding role in the antioxidant protection system. As a co-substrate of glutathione peroxidase it neutralises peroxides that inevitably occur in the body and increase under oxidative stress, protecting cell and mitochondrial membranes from damage by reactive oxygen species. Glutathione also helps convert oxidised vitamins C and E back into their active form and helps immune cells form leukotrienes, which control white blood cell functions during immune responses.
Who is the Glutathione Infusion suitable for?
The glutathione infusion is suitable if you want to help your body promote antioxidant processes and support its natural cell-protection mechanisms. It can make sense for people who want to strengthen their body's own processes in a targeted way and counteract oxidative stress.
Thanks to the direct intravenous administration, your body can absorb the glutathione efficiently.
