Description
True beauty comes from within! This saying is more than just a figure of speech – in a 2014 study, researchers found that inner attitude and inner well-being have a great influence on how we perceive ourselves and how others perceive us.
The anti-aging infusion* with vitamin C (ascorbic acid), vitamin B complex, zinc, lysine, arginine and glutathione nourishes your body from within to give your skin, hair and nails the vitamins and minerals they need. It helps protect cells from oxidative stress and so support normal skin ageing. Glutathione is one of the most important antioxidants in the body.
Possible ingredients
B complex
B vitamins are water-soluble and cannot be stored in the body; any excess is excreted in the urine, so we depend on a regular supply. The B group comprises eight vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B7, B9 and B12. Their tasks are varied and complex. Vitamin B12 plays a special role because it is found almost exclusively in animal foods. B vitamins are important for hormone production, influence blood circulation, are involved in carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism and contribute to blood formation and healthy nerve function.
Lysine
Lysine is one of the eight essential amino acids that adults need but the body cannot produce itself, so it must come from food. The body needs lysine to build muscle and other amino acids. The essential amino acid is also involved in bone growth, cell division and wound healing. Unlike energy sources (carbohydrates and fats), amino acids contain nitrogen and can build tissue such as organs, muscles, skin and hair.
Arginine
L-arginine is a natural, protein-building amino acid used as a food supplement and as a medicine. In the body, arginine is converted into nitric oxide (NO), which widens blood vessels and plays a role in the immune system and as a neurotransmitter in the nervous system. Arginine is used, among other things, as a tonic, for cardiovascular conditions, for wound healing, to support potency and fertility and in bodybuilding. Possible side effects include gastrointestinal complaints.
Zinc
Zinc is an essential mineral with many important functions in the body. It plays a central role in the health of skin, hair and nails – a deficiency often shows in brittle nails, dry skin or dull hair. Zinc also supports normal metabolism and the immune system, helps protect cells from oxidative stress and is involved in maintaining vision, cognitive function and fertility. Blood testosterone levels and carbohydrate, fatty acid and vitamin A metabolism are also positively influenced by zinc.
Glutathione
Glutathione is a sulphur-containing tripeptide made of glutamic acid, glycine and cysteine. It is produced in the liver, is an important water-soluble cellular antioxidant and an important enzyme cofactor, and is present in every cell of the body. Glutathione is involved in many metabolic processes: it protects the structure of proteins, promotes the transport of amino acids through cell membranes and plays an outstanding role in the antioxidant protection system. As a co-substrate of glutathione peroxidase it neutralises peroxides that inevitably occur in the body and increase under oxidative stress, protecting cell and mitochondrial membranes from damage by reactive oxygen species. Glutathione also helps convert oxidised vitamins C and E back into their active form and helps immune cells form leukotrienes, which control white blood cell functions during immune responses.
Selenium
Selenium is a vital trace element that supports many functions in the body. It contributes to the normal function of the immune system and the thyroid, protects cells from oxidative stress and plays a role in maintaining healthy hair and nails. Selenium also supports normal sperm formation. An adequate supply can be particularly important for certain groups – such as vegetarians, vegans, dialysis patients or people with a one-sided diet or impaired nutrient absorption. In such cases targeted supplementation may make sense, ideally after medical advice.
Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 (also called cobalamin) is a water-soluble vitamin involved in numerous metabolic processes – including the breakdown of fatty acids and the use of folic acid, which makes it indispensable for blood formation. As vitamin B12 occurs only in animal foods, a deficiency can develop more easily on a vegan diet. A deficiency often develops gradually and can go unnoticed for years because the body's stores empty slowly.
Sodium chloride (NaCl)
Salt, i.e. sodium chloride (NaCl), is vital for the human body. Table salt is the main source of sodium and chloride, which are essential for fluid balance, the nervous system and blood pressure regulation. Sodium chloride protects cells from drying out and is responsible for passing on signals in nerve cells. No cell in our body could exist without salt.
Who is the Anti-Aging Infusion suitable for?
The anti-aging infusion is suitable if you want to support your skin, hair and nails in a targeted way and value balanced well-being. It can help supply your body with essential nutrients and possibly balance everyday oxidative stress.
It is ideal for anyone who prefers a holistic anti-aging approach and wants to do something good for both their appearance and their inner well-being. Because it is given directly into the vein, the ingredients are absorbed particularly efficiently.
